Troubleshooting

Fix common CreatorsJet MCP connection, permission, and import problems.

The assistant cannot connect

Check that the server URL is exactly https://api.creatorsjet.com/mcp. Your client must support remote Streamable HTTP MCP and browser OAuth sign-in. If a workspace manages connectors, an owner may need to allow CreatorsJet first. Follow the connection steps for your client.

Sign-in failed or expired

Start a new connection and complete sign-in and consent in the browser. An API key or CreatorsJet browser session cannot replace MCP OAuth sign-in.

If the consent page sends you back to login because the account is unavailable, sign in with an active creator or agency account. If you cannot sign in to that account, contact support. Start the connection again if the authorization request has expired.

An action is missing

Tools depend on your creator or agency role and the scopes approved for this connection. A client that requests no scopes starts with read permissions. Creating or editing requires write permission. Update the connection's permissions, then reconnect so the assistant refreshes its tool list. Your plan and usage limits are checked when it calls a tool.

A tool returned an error

SCOPE_REQUIRED means the connection needs more permission. PLAN_REQUIRED or LIMIT_EXCEEDED means the account does not currently meet a plan or allowance rule. NOT_FOUND may mean the resource belongs to another account. For RATE_LIMITED, wait the returned retry_after_seconds before retrying. See the error-code guide.

A Linktree import is still running

Ask the assistant to check the import using its returned ID. An import runs in the background and needs a public Linktree or Beacons page with supported links. If it fails, check that the source URL is public and that you do not already have a CreatorsJet link-in-bio page. See link in bio.

A roster import did not finish

Ask the assistant to check status using the returned import ID before starting another import. Validation previews expire after 30 minutes; validate the source again if its preview expires.
